The Story of AlexiaHTC
The story of AlexiaHTC is the burning desire and volcanic ambition of an immigrant family to help doctors save the lives of patients quickly, affordably, and accurately. How did the AlexiaHTC story start? Back in 2010, Ms. Alexia Ayuk, Prince Ojong's daughter, had a career dream-to become a neuro-surgeon like her folk hero, Dr. Ben Carson. In following the public debate on HIPAA, the father-daughter duo was worried about the new challenges providers faced daily. How could they employ Internet technology to empower doctors to save patients’ lives? Later, Alexia had the inspiration to create a new Internet application for busy and burnt-out healthcare providers and their frustrated patients. Prince Ojong, a self-taught Visual BASIC and MS Access programmer and former salesperson of Medisoft and Practisoft, began collaborating with his daughter on designing the prototype of AlexiaHTC.
Besides, the father and daughter duo hired a development dream team in 2018. In 2020 the baby christened AlexiaHTC was born. In 2021 laboratory and imaging functionalities were integrated into the flagship cyberspace application. On June 01, 2021, AlexiaHTC was released officially as the world’s newest EMR (electronic medical records) and EHR (electronic health records) targeting new doctors, dentists, and solo practitioners in the United States.
